He teaches Bible Knowledge but does not know Jesus Christ

Our understanding of spiritual matters is important since the physical is controlled by the spiritual. Very unfortunately,many try to understand physical things to explain the spiritual things.

A similar situation happened in Mark 8:14-21 and Jesus asked them a very simple but deep question in the verse 17 of Mark 8; "...Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened?

We often hear sad stories of scholars who teach Bible Knowledge (BK) in schools and colleges and yet have not allowed the cleansing power of the word of God to clean their filthy hearts. They are credited with very blasphemous sayings and acts and many wonder if the word of God can really save. But of course it can!

Once upon a time, an unbelieving scholar was sponsored to a Bible College in America by his anti-Christian sect so he would be better equipped to argue against the Christian faith and prove that the Bible is full of myths and fabrications. He went back to His country a born-again Christian.

When Peter said in Matthew 16:16b that, "...You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." , He did not get this knowledge by his own powerful analytical reasoning and some clever argumentative skills but Jesus said in Matt. 16:17c "...for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven."

We can argue and fight with unbelievers about the infallibility of the word of God but God cannot still be discovered completely through explanation or argument but He can only be found through revelation.

Note this that "BEHIND EVERY WORD IN SCRIPTURE IS THE VOICE OF GOD".
You read the word of God daily,pray daily but without understanding and revelation. I will rather encourage you to pray to hear the voice or revelation behind the word of the Scripture or the Bible.

Many cannot comprehend and handle the truth that Jesus is the Son of God and Is God the creator of all things ,why? THEY LACK UNDERSTANDING AND REVELATION. Though they have eyes, they cant see. They have ears but they cant just hear the voice of God.

Even though Jesus had proved on at least two occasions to His disciples that He could miraculously supply them with food, they still could not understand. Jesus was warning them about the dangerous influence of the Pharisees but they were carnally minded and were thinking about food. A very Big difference in priorities. Why didn’t they understand? Is it because Jesus did not speak clear enough? Well, Jesus Himself gave the reason in verse 17b of Mark 8 "Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened?".

They had hardened their hearts! Has it occurred to you that God is more eager to communicate with you than you are? In the garden of Eden, it was His pleasure to walk and talk with Adam and Eve. He initiated the interaction. May be we should stop praying “SPEAK TO ME LORD” and instead pray “BREAK MY HARDENED HEART”.

God is speaking to you about the way to your long awaited breakthrough but your priorities are on physical things and that has hardened your heart of understanding. Gods plan for you is good but only those who get revelation and hear His voice are able to walk in Gods plan unto divine fulfillment.
